Granny's gone and done it again

Don't burn the fabric! toss that. Burning the staples is no big deal. You just toss those with the ashes in your garbage bin.

Oh dear. That big of a reaction for a sting might be showing that she is allergic, and a later sting could put her in anaphylactic shock. Happened to my sister's dog. The 3rd bee sting almost killed her... sis had to heave her into the car and rush to the vet. Was a close call.

He seems to be doing okay. I asked him today if he was homesick. He said the only thing he wasn't crazy about is having to share a bathroom with so many people.

That’s one of my theories on Jasper. He came home one day with a swollen paw. Week or so later it was the opposite leg and swelled up to his chest. Some time after that he went into the woods with Jewel, but never came back.

We have a burn pit. Had it dug when I was remodeling the kitchen in 2011. Lots of yard refuse goes in there too. I need to burn it one more time while grass is green.
Be careful of those. My dad's mother fell into theirs when he was only 4. That was back in 1924. They say it practically burned off one of her breast. One of my dad's older brothers hopped on the old mule and went trying to track down the doctor. By the time he found him and brought him back it was too late. It traumatized my dad to some degree I suppose because he never would allow us kids to hang a portrait of his mom and dad that he kept hid in the back of a closet. It was a wonderful old picture probably taken in very early 1900's in an oval frame and I remember it didn't have just a flat glass. It was like a bubble, probably stood a couple of inches out from the picture in the center. Rumor has it my dad's second wife trashed it after he passed.

Just came in from watering and feeding the critters. Set up another 5 gallon water bucket with horizontal drinkers, this one for the bantam cochins. And a drinker system for the 3 bunnies in the barn. They had individual water bottles. Hubby ordered submersible fish tank heaters to keep the water warm for the chicken waterers I made.
