Clearly I have a House Gremlin who thinks I should hatch eggs RIGHT now...

(Said House Gremlin is not remotely bothered by the need to build housing.)

(Stick around at least till NYD, when I have a hatch going on, and you'll see just how bad I am hide.gif)

Hahahaha! Well, I will admit, got my very first chickens last year, and have been pretty addicted since. Started with RIR, white leghorns and Barred rocks. Then I learned there were so many cooler breeds out there! So then I added some buff orpingtons, salmon Favorelle, couple months later added some chicks, Olive eggers, Easter eggers and a D Unccle. I'm hoping since I hatched them they might be a bit friendlier with me (not that my others aren't friendly) but my salmon Favorelle literally loves to be held and pet. Hoping for more of that with these little buggers.

Oh my, you have it bad, don't you. :lau

Better start working on those carpentry skills. I assume you have lots of power tools? If not, budget for them. You've got a lot of building ahead of you, I'm thinking...

(Says someone who knows... and has learned to build almost anything in the past year...)

We built our first cute little coop that fit 6-8 out of our girls swing set. The top clubhouse part!

Why don't you use some of your own eggs?
