I hate when that happens - it's so disorienting and sometimes frightening, esp. if you're not sure what's real. Wish I was there to give you a real hug. Or hand you a drink, either way... lol.png

hugs.gif Sadly, it's all real. Every single horrible detail. hide.gif
Goodnight, dear.

Still totally sucks to find yourself dwelling on bad stuff. And still wish I was there to hug you. :hugs

Those are some fantastic looking chickens! I hope your friend lists you take photos. You said it was hard to find good examples of some breeds there in Israel - this looks like a great source!
(Are you in the market for more chickens, or just going to see a friend? Beware chicken math!!!!)

It depends on DW! lol.png

Well, show her all those pretty pictures, maybe she'll relent and let you get some more!!!! (Esp. if there are pretty eggs - I've learned that everyone seems to love pretty eggs, even non-chicken people who otherwise think eggs are boring!) :thumbsup

Quiche Lorraine is done and cooling. Turned out well, and I didn't burn it or make a mess. (Miracle!!!) Off to soak dried fruit in booze for the fruit cake.

Benny, I forgot to thank you for posting that video about 12th night cake - that was really interesting and neat. I have my hands full with baking plans this year, but I may try to do that next year - either myself or with family...

My last egg I'm waiting on to hatch I heard peeping and felt movement when I picked it up to check it. And now it's 2 days later and I don't hear anything or feel anything from it. Should I go ahead and try to give it a little help or just wait and see? I sometimes hear that if the chick doesn't poke a hole in the egg to breath on time that they can suffocate and that's what I'm afraid will happen.

My incubator seemed to spike last night between 12am and 5:30am. It was at 108 when I checked. Will that kill my eggs that are 7-14 days old?

Yes, I think it's time to assist. Go slow. Stop if you see blood. fl.gif
As for the spike, it depends on how long it was that high. I certainly wouldn't pronounce them cooked yet.

I started a small crack in the egg to try and see if I could help it out or at least try to put a small hole where the chicks beak would be for air for him to breath and some clear liquid came out. So, it freaked me out cause I'm afraid of doing something wrong to it. So, I've stopped for now and tried to cover up the tiny hole. I can't see through the eggs very well cause they're dark eggs. What do I do or how do I know how to help the chick out????
