May I show off my mutt ducks? :)

These are from a clutch of 21 eggs I found out of my ducks (appleyard, cayuga, runner,saxony, "white layer"). 8 hatched. 4 look like swedish (not sure why, I have no swedish) BUT 4 look quite different and very pretty, especially the drakes. They have dark chocolate heads, brown laced feathers that fade to slate grey laced feathers! Big heavy ducks too.

The ducks have more of a hen mallard head but also beautiful brown and slate laced feathers

Pretty! I have some mutt ducklings right now, the possible dads are pekin, blue or black swedish and a mallard, the possible moms are pekin or blue swede. They are all white right now so it'll be interesting to see if they feather any different.

Very nice! i have some here myself, my buff orpington and Muscovy crosses or as we dubbed them 'muffs' They have the 'look' of a BO but the coloring of Muscovy, so blues, browns, they fly but quack like mallard derived. Some have the drake curl, others no.

No fleshing like scovies either... they are odd, that is all i got. I have no intent on allowing that again, it was a bit of a lark... we raised these two BO ducks with scovies we had to rescue from one of the clutches so they were paired with scovies as those turned out to be drakes, we figured when they twin sat they'd produce nothing.

Yeah, no. lol. I'll have to dig up a pic.
