Medicated feed

Any harm in feeding medicated feed to adult birds ? My local mil is selling a quail blend for 10.50 a bag . It's 28% but medicated. It's more then less then half price if anything else close the the protein %

What is it medicated with? Its not necessarily a good idea to feed medications when they are not needed.
