Mother has worms, should I worm baby chicks?

I apologise if this question has already been answered. I have a hen raising two baby chicks. The chicks are 1.5 weeks old. Chicks and mother are fed medicated chick crumbs. Today I noticed thin white worms about 1cm long in the mother hen's poo. I have treated the hen with worming medication. Can/should I treat the chicks too as a preventative measure (have not seen any worms in their poo but the recommendation says to 'treat the whole flock')? Thanks for any advice. (I have no other chickens, just these)

I'm no expert on worming, but I personally would not worm them at such a young age. Worm loads tend to build up in a chicken's system over a period of time. Your chicks, whilst being exposed to worms (which is perfectly normal) are unlikely to have the need for worming for some time to come.
