ok, here's my story and I'm sticking to it. I have two flocks. One has 5 banties, 2 full sized hens, can't think what breed right now, 5 Blue Palm turkeys, and one male guinea.
The other flock has 2 male guineas which roost in a tree above the coop, 10 silkies and their various chicks. Yesterday I was presented with 3 silkie peeps. Fine and dandy. The only thing being is that 2 of the peeps look exactly like guinea peeps in markings and colors. I have heard that this is possible, but little did I expect it.
I also have a chick from one of the Golden Comets bred by a banty, hatched and raised by a silkie. That chick is nothing but beautiful.
Pics to follow when the peeps begin feeding outside.
