CHICKEN / FOWL NAMES! To Name or Not to Name? Do You Name Yours? W/ Sally Sunshine & BantyChooks

For naming birds, today I'm ordering yellow bandettes in sizes 7, 9 and 11, numbered 1-100 for all the birds that hatch this year.
I color code the legbands the same way queen honeybees are coded by year.
Years ending in 2 or 7 get yellow.
It helps me tell at a distance how old a bird is.

All my birds are black so numbered bandettes, toe punching or wingbands are the only ways to tell them apart.
