Hello, I have 5 hens and a roo. I have noticed that in the 30 degree weather my cuckoo maran hen is seeming to be cold.she is keeping her head tucked close in with her neck. Her feet are also cold. Anyone know why?

No one could know why without the results of lab work.

I recommend you separate her and keep her warm (near 80F).

Healthy chickens can handle temps well below 0F but sick chickens need to be kept warm.

Either let it run its course or find a vet with poultry experience.

In the meantime, make sure your birds have excellent ventilation (1 sq. ft. per bird).
As temps cool, many people tend to try to keep their chickens warm by limiting ventilation. In many cases, that is the root of the problem.
