Our Bantam Speckled D'Uccle (Sprinkle) is limping. I don't see any signs of bumblefoot (the little pad at the center of her feet is squashy, not overgrown at all) but she is not bearing weight on her right leg at all. I tried to feel for a slipped tendon, and looked for any signs of an injury/cut - I just don't see any obvious reason that she can't walk on it. She's our only Bantam, in a flock of about 35, and has been with us for 4 weeks (we got her at the chicken barn of a local fair, certified by the state vet to be healthy)

What should we do for her? We tried to bring her into the house and share a hutch with our mini bunny, but neither of them liked that arrangement :/ The hen liked the bunny food, but not the cage, and the bunny was not at all impressed with her house guest. She has been (prior to injury) roosting with the other hens, roos and guineas, but I wonder if the height of the roost is going to be too much for her.

I tried searching the boards, but didn't find clear info besides isolation, being that she's a small girl and not keen on being in a confined space I'd like to find a solution that keeps her integrated. She's a special girl in our flock, so we want to make sure that she is happy and healthy and strong to stick around for a good long while!

The height of your roosting perches should not be a problem for a bantam - mine love to fly to the highest one available! Does she have foot feathers? sometimes these get broken off and can cause some discomfort. You didn't say how old she is, but if she has been roosting previously I would not suspect slipped tendon.
If she is amenable, try her with warm foot soaks with Epsom salts daily, she can dry off in the house and then return to the other girls.
Let us know what happens please....

Thank you! I believe she was shown as a pullet, so probably a Spring 2016 hatch. It has been rainy here (we need it, not complaining) and she was out in the mud at the afternoon check yesterday, so we figured out a way to bring her in the house so she wouldn't wind up in a puddle or worse. She now has the upstairs of the hutch of our other bunny's condo. Still doesn't like the confinement, but at least she's not getting a chill or trampled.

She does have very feathered feet, and I will try the Epsom soaks and see how she does!
