Seriously, I've been reading this website for a year, and I never considered becoming a member until deciding I'd like to post the coop I've been building.

I bought 6 peeps last March/April: 2 Araucanas, 1 Barred Rock, 2 Buff Orps, and 1 White Leghorn. The leghorn is a bit aggressive with one of the buff orps, and I may need to re-home her, but I'm trying everything before that. I'd like to add a Black Australorp and a Maran, and a white egg layer, if I need to get rid of the leghorn. I'm not completely interested in having peeps again so soon, but they seem rare to come by as pullets. We'll see.

I live in Northern MA with my husband, 2-y-o, 2 cats, and 6 chickens.

If you decide to add additional birds to your current flock, be sure to read up on isolation and integration. There are good articles in the Learning Center on those topics and of course, you can always ask questions.
