two geese wont go home

@ladyearth Looking at top pic on the left side finish that up so it goes as far as on the right. then make a door opening in the front. keep it open till he goes in to eat once inside close the gate, door etc. Now he has his own safe night time enclousure once he gets use to being in there in the evening go out and put some corn inside towards the back so he has to walk all the way in eat it then close the gate or door so he has to sleep inside at night. He's a beautiful goose so glad he likes Hubby. I am sure he is feeling much more secure being with you than across the street alone.
Heck look close at thar flowerpot and the lime green bowl inside of it. That is where we put his food.. Hes outside sitting on the gravel again. Hubby made him a ramp but he wont use it. Meant to take a pic of it today before dark.... thanks

@ladyearth sorry didn't realize the flower pot was where his food was, does he go in to eat it? and this is all new to him give him time to feel secure plus remember water fowl have a very nice down jacket on under their feathers so he'll lay down with his feet tucked under and his head under his wing and be pretty toasty I'd think. The secure shelter would be more for his protection from predators. Most preds would love goose for dinner and they wouldn't have to spend close to $100.00 to get one. If the ramp is steep that maybe the reason or again geese like ducks don't take to change well so it may just take him time to get us to the ramp and everything else. But just knowing he has someone watching out for him makes me feel a whole lot better.

well sad to report beloved Honk HoNK is gone. I hope whatever took him between 9 pm and 6am CHOCKED to DEATH... yes.death.. Just a dozen or so small feathers about twenty feet from the house
.RIP beautuful little lonely man. He made us laugh and smile. All but the piles of poo right in front of the basement door. I heard him honk couple of times around 9 pm or so. I had went out to check on things after the violent wind and rain with a flashlight. But the outside baement spotlights were off...so it wouldnt disturb, Honk HONK
sev night I hard a "hoo hoo" from the woods" So if it was something looking from the woods, Honk would have been spotlighted some nights for a while. Since the house has several outside floodlights pointing at the basement entrance...
hubby said he even heard an eagle scream recently.
even the last night he was right outside th basement door. I told Hubby. The tall pile of poo was on the rug outside the door where he like to sit....LOL
Hubby lot his best Buddy....he wished he would just have picked Honk Honk up and placed him inside that little area.... At least an owl would not have been able to fly in or out.. Now maybe a coyote or dog could have dug under etc Twice when he went into that area where we put his feed dish we snuck over a closed that gate..
after that if he saw us while he was eating... he hurriedly exited the area. He was so smart...
I kept forgetting to show yall the pic of "what set up for him" and that I added a section of fencing panel too. Now Hubby has dismanteled the area. kept the awning there upon my request.
Oh HONK finally went into his "pool" when the water wasnt frozen....we also bought him two nice flat "bowls from TSC he stood in too...
Oh also bought two nice mirrors for his "place" hoping he would see himself and stay in that enclosure during the night... But no he wouldnt stay in there..
PS just called the lady down the street. She said something got HonK HONKs parents about a month ago. Dang she should have told us....
we been more on the lookout.. She said if she ever gets anymore shes not letting them out. DUH!!!!! She with a gorgeous pond !!!!
I coulsnt stand that so I thanked her and hung up.....
