Chirping
we just aquired a silkie.i read on them and feel very confident about keeping her or him. my thing is as we did not aquire her at 2 or 3 weekes or , she is said to be anout 2 months. are there signs i should look for in health. as she is different from my other roo and girls and we got her lot older, i noticed a couple of things different. for starters she has a distinctive smell. like urine. my roo and other girls smell like hay and very delicious, so we were set off by her tingy smell. also i noticed blockage in her nostril area. that also smelled foul. her eyes are clear and she seems active enough and weery of her environment. jer fur also look as if it had somethjng on it. she has a vet appointment coming up. she is eating very well also.
advice til then.
we did take her a warm bath to get rid of some of the smell which helped clean out her nostrils amd made her extra fluffy. but she still kinds smelly.
we are going to wait to intergrate her with our other feathered family. but we did show her to the rest of our family.
also as i live in chicago when is a good time to let her out with the rest of our flock.....
