Did a moth know that the flame was going to change her life forever, or did she simply fly towards that heated embrace, knowing it would offer her something she couldn't give herself? In the end, the answer didn't really matter. The moth had never wanted the choice. -Joey W. Hill-

Congratulations @superchemicalgirl  @NickyKnack !!!

So many fantastic ideas and beautiful art on this thread!!  I learned a lot about art that I wasn't aware existed.

I'm still looking some of it up...lol.

There was a lot of great competition and I'm honored to have been one of the chosen!

You guys have a lot of talent! And I think you are the people to ask my question to. (Mr. Google wasn't helpful.)

Google did help me learn that I can preserve my blown eggs with Modge Podge, inside and out. But Im not sure how to dry them after I get the Modge podge on. Will it puddle and make a ring on the side where the egg lays? Do you tilt them somehow?

Another question I have is, I have put two holes in each egg. Is there a way to patch them that looks natural? These eggs are for "fillers" for baskets or glass jars. So I want them to just look like regular eggs. I'm thinking I should have done the one-hole method, but that would have been real hard.

Thanks for any tips you can give!

just dont put too much modge podge on, it gets cloudy, paint one side at a time

what color eggs? to patch the hole (how big?) you could put a piece of tissue over the hole and modge podge in place

Depends on what color eggs you are using. White eggs, maybe just regular white glue - one hole at a time. Allow dry time between filling holes. Elmers has a wood glue that dries a beige color, and it's sandable and paintable. If one of the holes is bigger, you may want to try Elmers Wood Filler. It's blue in it's putty stage, but dries "natural" (light beige) when dry. It is also sandable and paintable. Good luck.

Thank you for the help!

painting one side at a time makes sense.

Thank you for the patch ideas. They might work for the turkey eggs, cuz those are pale. The rest are olive eggs and dark brown Marans eggs. Maybe if I hunt around I can find some matching craft paint.
