She's beautiful.
It's a pity you do not live closer.  I have a few young males looking for a new home.

Think I could keep them quiet long enough to sneak over the border? :D

Of course; knowing me, next year when the sultans come into the feed store I ain't gonna be able to resist.

My young roos are getting feisty and starting to try and mount each other. I figure about a month and they will figure out they should be on the pullets.

I bought 3 and 2 from TSC. Banded them to see what they look like growing up. I'm not too impressed. I lost one of the youngest and one of the oldest has a slight misshapen beak, the whole face is crooked :( I have so many right now running around the banded ones are lost in them. I'll have to hunt them down and see how they are growing now that I haven't noticed them for a month.

On the subject of crosses, a sultan roo topped a buff brahma looking mix and the offspring are gorgeous. They resemble your cross with EE but not as heavy of a head poof. Both are really weird colors tho, so of course I love them! Best of all, both are pullets.

Pics or it doesn't happen.

I love weird colours in chickens.

2 handful of mealworms to convince them they did not want to nap..

Their colors do not show well in the sun and on the pictures.
Crispy is the blackish color. She was born silver. Her feathers are charcoal like in the middle and outlined in darker black. Her color reminds me of paper that's been set on fire around the edges, so she's named crispy :)
Pinky is sort of a lavender or splash, I really don't know. She's so pale that she looks like she has a pink cast to her feathers with silvery blue splats.

(the little sultan is a TSC baby, it has a band on)

photos make crispy look brown cast, she's not at all.

Really? Pinky is the showboat. Everyone who comes around notices her and says what a pretty hen. No one notices crispy but me.
