My young roos are getting feisty and starting to try and mount each other. I figure about a month and they will figure out they should be on the pullets.
I bought 3 and 2 from TSC. Banded them to see what they look like growing up. I'm not too impressed. I lost one of the youngest and one of the oldest has a slight misshapen beak, the whole face is crooked I have so many right now running around the banded ones are lost in them. I'll have to hunt them down and see how they are growing now that I haven't noticed them for a month.
On the subject of crosses, a sultan roo topped a buff brahma looking mix and the offspring are gorgeous. They resemble your cross with EE but not as heavy of a head poof. Both are really weird colors tho, so of course I love them! Best of all, both are pullets.
