Bird Aviary Chat Thread

So I would like to make my own aviary for my birds and it would be divided into 4 sections: 1 African Grey, 4 lovebirds, 1 Quaker, and 8 parakeets but I'm struggling with some parts. For the netting what type should I use and around how much is the cost? What is the best structure frame for the aviary? Wood? Aluminum? And would it be a good idea to put 2 Fischer lovebirds with 2 violets lovebirds and one of the violets is splayed.

The quaker, parakeet and finches would all do fine on 1/4" to 1/2" hardware cloth but that would be unsuitable for the African grey as its claws can get trapped In the mesh. Im not sure if all of the smaller birds could be kept in a aviary together as I have never owned lovebirds but the quaker and parakeets shouldn't be a problem.

When it comes to the best material that really does depend on the price that you are willing to pay and what you would like the end result to look like. Stainless steel is the best that money can buy but it looks clinical like a science experiment rather than a natural habitat. Any other material will have some sort of draw backs and should be researched with the breed of bird being kept especially the grey as they can be rather destructive when they put there mind to it.

im moving so when im done with that im going to build one for my starlings
