has anyone have their hens bodies returned

I am sorry it's been an ordeal for you both. I know hubbies do not like seeing their wife upset.

I do understand about wanting a normal retirement life! We work so hard to be able to spend time together in the end, as stress free as possible. 2 more years for my hubby to retire. And sometimes certain hobbies become more of a hassle than a joy. When someones' life depends on you and there's things you have no control over, it can be very disheartening. My husband enjoys the chickens, but I can tell he doesn't want to know everything especially when it isn't a positive report or is like can you build me this or do that...

You do seem like you know when one of your birds isn't acting right, so you are probably right about Blakely.

I still don'r understand what your PIECE OF A VET charged for...

I would not take another animal there regardless of species or how far it was to the next vet.

So from that report sounds like even at the lab the only things they are able to test for is eggs and parasite, so nothing really disease related like organ failure. That is good to know. Thank you for sharing, I KNOW how much time BYC can take up!

For me right now it's part of my coping tools. But life changes all the time and I know if I get overwhelmed the chickens can find new homes. Hopefully you can have a smooth transition and look forward to the next chapter in life!
