Broad-Breasted Meat VS. Heritage Meat

There is so much that is up to personal preferences with this. We raise Broad Breasted each year and they work out very well for us. The meat is still certainly better than the store and they work best with our set-up. The debate is a lot like the difference in raising roosters or Cornish Cross for meat. BB's grow very quickly, as opposed to a heritage breed.

The great part about heritage is that you can keep some and hatch your own the following year to raise. We have to keep buying poults each year.
