I was given this pullet about a week ago and love her! She is super social and loves to be held. I am not sure of her age but she just stopped chirping and is making adult noises now. She, however, is not friendly with other hens. She is VERY dominant and even though she was still chirping she challenged my 2 RIR's so much I got her her own coop thinking they just needed time to adjust. Yesterday I introduced two 9 week old pullets to her (very timid) and she was fine with them. This morning though, she is not so nice. I am wondering if she is a Shamo or something similar and will not "play well with others" like I have read. Lol! Does anyone have any idea what she is??

I also noticed yesterday that she has iridescent purples and greens in her feathers!

Well yes! I am super new to chickens! But there is no waddle development and a light pink nub of a comb. The tail feathers are all broad and even and no crowing at all. It's a very young chicken since he/she was chirping just days ago. Saying it's a she is just my best guess. You think it's a rooster??

Btw, welcome to BYC!
Read some of the forum archives covering "what breed or gender is this...". https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this
(in fact, you may want to repost your photos and questions in that forum if no one notices it in this one.)
And if it does turn out to be a cockerel, and you want to keep him, there are forums with important guidelines on how to avoid raising a mean rooster, you might want to check those out, just in case.
And of course be sure to check out the learning center, it's full of everything you'd want to know about chickens and other poultry.
Anyone else out there want to chime in on breed and gender of this one? I just don't know.

Yep, it's a cockerel and may be of game bird heritage thus the aggressive nature toward other chickens.
