Hello, my wife and i are new to owning back yard chickens. Our city approved this past summer an ordinance allowing residents to keep up to four hens, no roosters. So i built a coop in my free time over a few months and about a month ago we picked up four ISA brown pullets from a local farmer. They are doing great and have gotten use to my wife and i. We are very excited to be able to keep chickens and we both are looking forward to the fresh eggs when they start laying.

Thanks, we really enjoy the chickens. I find it interesting, even in the short time we have had our flock, how diiferent their personalities are. They now recognize my wife and I and greet us when we are in the back yard or come home from work. They like me alot but they love my wife, they follow her around everywhere.

That's wonderful that you're now allowed to keep chickens! Glad you're enjoying them, they can be a lot of fun.
