Sharien followed Zant at a distance for a little ways, then broke off down a separate hallway. Since the queen's chamber was likely the biggest and best, she would have to settle for a little less. Surely there was an elaborate guest chamber somewhere. The hallway she was now in was lined with doors running down either side of it till nearly the end, so she opened one after another, going down slowly. The rooms, to her dismay, were all small bedrooms with a bad sense of decor. Leaving that hallway, she wandered around a bit more before finding a similar hallway but with less doors. She opened the first one, and to her delight, it was a well designed and decorated bedchamber. But just to make sure she wasn't missing out on anything, she opened the following door to reveal a much smaller room of the same design. First door it would be.

(Impatience doesn't look good on you.

But sure, skip if it pleases you XD )
(Well, I don't know how to go past sleeping. Unlike you, I don't spend hours of my time studying how people snore.

But just a second, my sister just made stuffed mushrooms.)

Zant woke up early that morning, and couldn't say he liked the sun that glowed annoyingly through the clouds. In his realm there was no sun, only darkness, so this was unnatural for him.
He put his royal robes and helmet on, and decided it was time to bring all of the Twilight inhabitants to this realm. At least the servants, because as royals, having to take care of themselves was of course not an option because they were too awesome for that.

Slowly stepping outside, he was satisfied to see that nobody had woken up from their unconsciousness yet. That would give him time to open up portals without any possible resistance.
A few guards at his side, Zant opened up a large, dark portal from the sky and sent them up to inform his people of what had happened, and coax them to come here. He knew that some of them would be wary, because this was very unknown territory and seen as possibly dangerous.

Sharien awoke slowly to the sound of a little bird chirping outside the window. Blinking in the strange sunlight, she lifted her head up just enough to set her chin on the back of her stacked hands, then glanced around the large room. She had fallen asleep sitting nearly straight up in the oversized chair by the fireplace. The room was chilly but a fire would fix that in no time. Though, there was the slight problem of having no wood or servant to fetch wood, so she would just have to deal with the cold for now.

After a moment of recollection of the day before, she hopped out of the chair and went over to examine the large trunk at the foot of the four-posted bed. This was her room now, so in her opinion, everything in here belonged to her, including this meticulously carved hunk of wood and whatever it contained.
