I would e-mail accounts today to get more traction with hatchery.

As of right now, the chicks all have their happy peep noises. I have replaced the bedding, thoroughly cleaned and sanitized (with hot water) their waterer, and replaced the food and food container.Thermal gradient on brooder allows detection heat related behavior. How do chicks sound? I listen for more cheaping with discomfortment. I do water with water without nutrients added.
Three or four days sufficient time for problems to develop in your end.
One factor that I have noticed, is they all looked similar. The others have small dots or lines on their heads, but all the dead ones have not. Since my last post, one other chick that I mentioned has been looking bad only for a couple hours, has also died. I have contacted the company and am awaiting a reply.Great job on the answers! Just the added information needed to see if we can't be of more help. Sounds like you have everything covered as far as temp and Nutri-drench goes, so that's good!
Now we just have to get our collective heads together and see if we can solve the mystery before any more are lost.......can you think of anything other factor aside from being shipped? I know shipping is hard on them and problems from it can show up days after they are received. Have you notified the hatchery that you are losing chicks? They often offer a refund on chicks that die shortly after being received. A refund doesn't resolve your issues but it does alert the hatchery.
Thinking.....thinking......
I don't know if it's shatterproof or not, but I do remember that whenever we need a heat lamp, we always search for one that is labled as teflon-free.Is your heat lamp a shatter proof one? Even though it may be labeled as ok for livestock use, some of the lamps manufactured in China (what's not these days) may indeed have teflon in them which outgasses and is lethal to poultry.
No, it's pine bedding. What kind of bedding? Not cedar, is it?
