Seriously idk what I'm doing wrong? I have everything they need, unlimited supply of food, Those rock thingies they use to digest their foods and clean water? Am I missing something, I even have a next container for them.
Here's the thing, my other male ringneck dove flew away leaving me with just 1 male and 1 female at the moment, (I had 3 of them) So the female dove was never social, she rarely coo'd when the other 2 male ringneck doves coo'd and now that one is gone, she just doesn't seem to be interesting in anything but coming to eat with the male dove. The current male dove tries preening her and courting her but she's just like "I've seen better, you're a horrible guest, just leave me be to wallow in this one spot" And she just moves away, and escapes even if it meant damaging her wings just to get away from him. But he don't care about what she says, so anytime she comes back to him, he would preen her, and rarely! just rarely! she would preen back, but eventually stop instantly as though she is embarrass, Idk if I'm reading them properly but I've been watching them and it seems like that is happening. I had the male since January 2016 and got the female in September 2016.

I don't really know what I'm doing wrong? is it that she wants a new male in their or is it something else? When I got her, at the beginning of her beak, she had red colour at the beginning of her beak. I've seen other young birds like a baby flycatcher or any sort of baby bird with a colour at the beginning of their beaks indicating that they are still young? So was she young? and not ready to get down on a relationship? do I have to wait couple more months till I see something?

I need some tips, please help me, Thank you, (Sorry for the typos and probably English errors)

If you didn't get her from a place with an aviary and got her from a previous owner that didn't have any other doves, it's possible that she doesn't accept others. If she was raised without contact with other doves, she will most likely never be comfortable. The best thing you can do for her, seeing as her social needs are not being fulfilled by the male, is to take her out of the cage and spend some one-on-one time with her, giving her extra treats and stroking her. Best wishes!

Thanks but, stroking her, XD, she doesn't want anything to do with me other than putting food in the cage and changing the paper and water, Even though the 2 males I had were just like her, at least they got around and was normal with me touching them, and she just tries to find every escape route their is. But I'm seeing progress in her, she is starting to coo often now, well only when the male does it, and she is letting him preen her now but sometimes still try to escape, but she still doesn't want my hand anywhere near her? should i force her to be comfortable with me or??? The male courted her a few times and rarely she would bow to him flickering her wings while he does his courtship, But he doesn't go on the nest i already provided for them, i mean few times he would go on it just to sun bathe or just to inspect it and tries to call her, but that sometimes doesn't work..... So should i wait another couple months or? When do ringneck doves actually breed like what are the months, (Please don't mention seasons and such, i live in the Caribbean)

Thank you

first you must know how old the hen is 6 months is the age a hen should start maturing next could she be moulting and the most important is she a she only true way you can sex dove is when they lay eggs sun bathing in the nest a dove wants dark and a quite nesting area

Has she laid any dud eggs yet? If she is of sexual maturity and still doesn't lay any eggs, she either is male or has a reproductive defect where she is unable to reproduce.

Also, to answer your question about petting, you should not force her to let you pet her. Spend lots of time in or outside the enclosure (depending on how big it is) and try to get her more used to you that way. I'm not sure if this will work, but you may want to take out the male and give him attention and treats. Perhaps your female will see that if he is compliant and gets treats that she should do the same so she can get treats too.

As for your question about breeding months and therefore don't know what months doves tend to breed. I am going to give my best guess and say that their breeding months are similar to my area's mourning doves, in the months May-August.

Oml, did the pet store owner scam me again, What am i suppose to do if the so called hen is a male, my cage is only for 1 male and 1 female, not 3 or 4, But what if the male calls the other dove(female) to the nest spot and she/he comes and inspect it? (got her August 2016) does that mean it is female? Because the male repeatable bows and coos to her and i have never seen her repeatable bow and coo at the same time, she would just have her head down a little like somewhere around 190 degree angle facing the male and coo while the male does it multiple times and she just stays in one spot and coo?

She has never laid an egg ever, when i got her she looked young? As i said before, she had this red skin colour at the beginning of her beak and after some months it disappeared PLUS, When i got her, her coos were very shallow and soft and sounded like if she was a beginner at it, now after couple more months her coos are impressive but still soft(hopefully its a female!) So i'm hoping that its a Female.

I think i mixed up both yall comments and replied young.

I think from the way you describe her that she is female. HOWEVER, just keep in mind that male doves bow and coo to any living thing. For example, I once watched a video of a male dove bowing and cooing to a cat. If you want to find it you can look up "Dove annoys sleeping cat". I think it is HIGHLY unlikely that your female is a male, in fact I think that it is more likely that she has a reproductive disorder that does not allow her to reproduce, but you never know until she lays an egg.

Oh Thank goodness, but my male never ever bowed to any other bird or animal nor object before, the only thing he will bow to is if he sees another ringneck dove close by
Thank you for the help and info, i just hope she doesn't have any reproductive disorder

I will say that two of the same sex will act as a pair two females 4 eggs 2 males no egg but will act like a pair can you find something like a dove size egg place in nest or maybe some real dove eggs see what happens
