white chick hatched from Blue Wyandotte egg on 11/7

pic # 2 of white chick

speckled grey chick from Blue Wyandotte egg hatched 11/9

second pic of speckled chick

pic of two Black Orpington chicks hatched on 11/9 true hatch..

my own black Silkie egg -chick hatched on 11/12
question: any ideas on why Blue Wyandotte chicks hatched out the white chicks, one with buff color and one speckled with light grey feathers..
they are from what I ordered as guaranteed pure Blue Wtyandotte eggs.? I love the colors, one looks buff the other maybe laced buff.?

You ordered eggs and these aren't from your pairings?
If that's the case, you need to call the hatchery and ask them.

I have contacted them, they asured me they have never had anyone say they have gotten anything but Blue Wyandottes hatch..they were a very reputable company I'm told. They are as puzzled as I am with the hatch.
I was asked to keep them updated with the way they feather out..I am absolutely in love with them..they are beautiful..just asking how they could hatch out white, both started out white, then
one, getting a golden color around its neck, the other has a light greyish type laced feathering, its body is still white under the belly and under the wings..beautiful birds none the less..

Looks like you got mixed breed chicks. The Wyandottes look like they have pea combs. And one of the Orpington chicks looks like it has a rose comb.

Are you in Europe or Australia?
There are pictures of blues, blue/red and silver/blue in the following link.
That said, I didn't know there are blues in the US.

No. I'm from SC, in the US..they were eggs from blue wyandotte out of Florida..she raises different types of wyandotte birds..they are both laced, look just like the links you showed, a pencillled lace and a buff laced wyandotte..only two and half months..can't wait to see their colours after first only..Thanks for the links..
