I have 2 black sexlinks that have developed raw irritated bottoms also feathers missing in that area...im concerned that they possibly could be egg bound. Anyone who knows anything about this, I would appreciate the helpful advice. Thank you

Welcome to BYC! I am glad you joined us, but very sorry about your hens!

I don't know much about your problem, but folks are sure to know if you post in the ER section: https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/10/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures
I hope they get better soon! Best wishes!

Hello and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us. Agreed - the ER thread is the best place to post, but maybe check them over for lice in the meantime.

Best wishes

The emergency forum is your best bet for help, they may want a photo to help identify the issue.

Hope your girls are good as new soon.

Welcome!

As others have suggested, the Emergency and diseases thread is probably a good starting point. I do not have personal experience in this area but I have read that this can sometimes be an indication of worms also

Anyways, I hope someone more experienced is able to assist.

I also hope you enjoy BYC; not only is it overflowing with lots of useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures about chickens, turkeys, duck, quail, Peas and pretty much any other feathered and non feathered friends
