SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!

Not long ago I had two Bald eagle's flying over my chicken coop while my bird's where out grazing but the eagle's left because I was sitting out there with them

I can't post pictures they won't load to this site I give up I guess there's no help for me by the time I do have this figured out I won't have any bird's left

It's bizarre what ever it is killing my big chicken's but won't dear Miss with my phenoms my little rooster is mean as heck

Have them Graz under heavy pine's the thicker the cover your bird's are safe from bird of prey that are in the sky's so it probably was anything thing that killed your rooster mink's and skunk's are good at killing not eating the bird just kill and ripping off the head's that's what I'm dealing with lost fifteen bird's all killed in the same pattern my rooster got hit idk if he will make it He's red totally covered in blood

Once again I really appreciate your help......do you have any suggestions about how to protect them? Would it be a good idea to keep them in the enclosed shed for a while until everything dies down? Also, will the Hawk be a repeat offender even though I buried Dale; will he come back to the scene of the crime body or not?
Thanks again.
Yes, it would be an excellent idea....and yes it will be back despite the carcass being gone.
You probably interrupted it's meal...but it did get one and will be back for more, so keep them locked up.
You can't really 'keep an eye on them' effectively..... hawks, and other preds, can attack when a human is present.
I believe parts of PA have huge migratory pathways...might be a bit late in the season but am not sure.

You were given suggestions on your several threads about mink, suggesting you put up different fencing; putting a wire "skirt" or "apron" around your coop to keep predators out. You said you couldn't afford it right now because you were waiting for a "deer mount" to get done. You either need to find a more secure place to put them at night, or plan on having to restart your flock after you've secured your coop and run better.

They can and will attack. We were pheasant hunting one year, and a hawk swooped right over our friend's head to get a pheasant that was right in front of him. There have been threads on here about people who have had fox run right up and snatch a chicken just feet away from them.

Not that I have seen nor notice every time my bird's are out grazing Bald eagle's and hawk's do soar over my bird's with me there but never did they attack my bird's and as of bird of prey being back as of repeated not much likely I've seen them leave and stay gone for some time before returning the predator on the ground our much more of a concern they however will return back to kill I had mink kill off all but one of my bird's I set a trap for the mink I sat inside the coop one nite to find out what was killing my chicken's and I stepped out from the coop and seen the mink ready to strike but even with me there the mink waiting till the coast was clear then finished his job I moved my last remaining duck and hen closer to the houses no problems since but as for the mink it's still getting into the big coop but unfortunately for it bird's have been moved from that location so sometimes you have to think like the predator to out smart it even if you ain't got trap's our whatever is you use to get em I hope my advice can help you
