Should I get a Barred Plymouth Rock?

i can only get 5-6 chickens and i have been questioning getting a barred plymouth rock. I have heard that if you are getting a small flock and are wanting to get a BR to just get all BRs or else they will be mean to the other chickens. Is that true? Can I just get 1? thanks!

They get along just fine with other chicken breeds. I've got 4 in my flock. But they are a more active breed then some. They are very curious and tend to become trouble makers if they get bored or don't have enough space. They need at least 5 sq ft of coop space and at least 15 sq ft of run space, compared to the typical 4 sq ft/10 sq ft guidelines. And they need to be kept busy.
