I have 4 chicks that are about 4 weeks old. One I took home at 1 week old bc he was getting picked on. The others just came to me on the 9th (3 days ago)...up until then, they were outside with their mom. I thought I Might have noticed a sign of blood in the poop the first night, so I started Corid right away just in case. I have the 20% powder & have been giving 1/2 tsp/gallon dosage so as not to give too much, bc there are so many different recommended doses on here, and especially when I'm not sure that is the problem. They were all acting fine the whole first day they were here. (They did have to be separated a few hours the first day when I wasn't home, so they didn't pick on the first injured chicky. I came home to find them on wet newspaper bc they had splashed a lot of water out of their waterer. They shouldn't have been cold, but still a little damp for at least some portion of that few hours.) The next morning, after I had already started the Corid the night before, the biggest chick (one of the new ones) was acting a bit sleepy. Still drinks & still eats, but not nearly as much as day one. Loves her live mealworms. I'm worried that she needs something else. My biggest question is am i giving enough Corid? I've barely seen any signs of blood, & they were very minor at that. They weren't on vitamins & electrolytes before. I have given Karo water tonight just to give them a boost. Would like to do pedialyte tomorrow morning if it won't hurt anything.?? My plan is to stop corid in a couple days at day 5 to do probiotics & vitamins/electrolytes. I would like to do pedialyte & plain, lowfat yogurt tomorrow if it won't cause problems with them being on the Corid. Please advise, I just worry so much about them!
Thanks!!

Thats not strong enough, the Corid powder dose is 1.5 teaspoons per gallon for five days, even for baby chicks. You can also add the vitamin and electrolytes in powder form to thier water as well, you can pick it up at the feed store for just a couple bucks, directions are on the back. And i would just keep them on the chick starter for now.
