LOL! So everything is not always as it seems. I'm only invested timewise for a little under two years with this chicken adventure. It's so good to have sites like this to go to when I have questions - even as nominal as this - to get help from those of you who have many years of expertise. Thanks! Oh, BTW, all of you were spot on with the rooster diagnosis for my little Calico. Noticed yesterday that his saddle feathers are finally coming in - quite beautifully in gold! Keep your fingers crossed that his temperament remains sweet
