My son brought me his guinea fowl 2 days ago with a mouth problem. It can't shut it's mouth. On further inspection it has a growth on the roof of its mouth. There war something stuck on the side of the growth. I'm not sure if that was the cause or was stuck because of the growth. I've treated the open wound with wound care.
It was weak when I brought it in away from the flock and out of the cold coop. I have it separated. I put both electrolytes and nutridrench in the water. I'm feeding it soupy oatmeal. I have a heat lamp. It has a little more energy but the large lump is still not getting better.
Any advice welcome.Could it be anything that could effect my chickens or other guinea.
