What color are these pullets?

This summer I bought 8 cochin pullets from a local breeder, while I was able to identify the colors of the majority of them. I am still stumped on these three. She had a giant selection of colors running together and had been letting them breed freely for around six years. Any ideas on colors or what genes make up these lovely ladies?[IMG][IMG]

Could you get pictures with better lighting? I can't tell if the feathers are black and white or if the lighting is causing them to look that way.

If she's had different varieties crossbreeding for years, it's likely that none are recognized colors/varieties any longer.

As a base color they seem more lemon and salmon colored (so maybe buff?), I'll take some better pictures once I get home. All three of them are incompletely laced though. That much I do know. I do have this picture I took of one of them the other night. Maybe it will help. Thank you!

Don't even look like pure cochins to me. Not enough leg feathering and to much tail.

I'm aware of that. smile.png I was just wondering what genetics made them up. Its more curiosity than anything.

I was thinking the same thing. They are a far cry from the cochins my Mottleds and milles are.

Absolutely no way to know what genes have been inherited. They are silver base color, that's about all that can be known with any certainty.
