Here is my coop and run. Any more suggestions for winterizing?

Here is my coop and run and I live in central Iowa so we get wind, snow, and lots of cold.

Specifically for winter: I covered the south facing Hardware cloth side with plastic and it backs up to my shed. The north and west sides back up to our 6 ft fence as an additional wind block. The run is to the southwest of the coop which means it is parallel to the fence and the shed.
There is a large amount of hay with the bottom of sand, dried leaves, and stall pro. I put feed bags on the inside to help with any drafts I was able to find from roosts down. There is plenty of ventilation above them to carry out moisture.

I have electricity to the coop for their light and their water heater but prefer to not have any additional needs for electricity.

We are heading into our first below zero cold snap and snow and I'm wanting to be sure the chickadees are going to be fine while I'm out plowing snow.
As for flock, I have EE's. Cochin, Ameraucana, Buff, and Bantam Frizzle Cochin adults. I also just integrated my 10 week olds which are mostly silkie mixes as well as a NN/EE. I already have one of my silkie girls that struggles with the 10+ temps we currently are having.

Any suggestions are welcome and I greatly appreciate everyone's help to ease my mind.

It seems great! Great job!
You could try adding more straw/hay etc. for a warmer ground and coop. Where are you located?
Also, sealing up any chewed holes or such with tarp or such will help with less draftiness.
Btw, I love your breeds. I am gonna order my first mixed breeds next year hopefully!

@VolailleAmant Thank you for your feedback! I've been doing things slowly over the last 2 months as the temps have dropped but they are finally becoming normal Central Iowa winter weather (I'm in the Des Moines metro area).

I just added the feed sacks to eliminate drafts on them a couple days ago as I found more on the windy day. I have the 2 bales of hay that I picked up today for the run to block wind in there and they seem to really enjoy that. I'll grab another one for some added warmth in the coop.

What do you have for breeds currently?

You put hay on top of sand?

I have a sand run and hen house. I've noticed that the girls' feet tremble from the cold and stand one one leg a lot, so I've been looking in to what to do about that. I just like the ease of cleaning with the sand. I clean everyday! But it's only going to get colder here in Wisconsin so I want to make it as comfortable for them as possible.

I use a sand base in the spring and summer as they stay cooler. Once I transitioned to the deep litter for fall and winter I make sure the sand is scooped clean and then add everything on top.
I found my gals also didn't seem to stay as warm with the sand during the winter and would do just like you said yours are.

From what I've read, silkies can have a harder time with the cold because of the fluff instead of a typical feather system. I think by adding some hay/straw bedding will really help them to keep in their body heat.

Yes, that makes sense....But it also doesn't, you'd think that them being so fluffy they'd keep warm better right? Obviously wrong. I just made the c. coop so cozy I wanna sleep out there tonight!

Cozy menaing with bedding and traw =warmer
