Howdy SCOUT123

For Christmas I give my gals a vol-au-vent each filled with yoghurt and topped with live meal worms.  They could be for birthdays also.

They love them ;)

@SCOUT123  Happy birthday to your girls!

@Teila what's a vol-au-vent? Is it some kind of cracker?

Hey N F C it is a little puff pastry dish into which you can add whatever filling you like.  A party appetizer etc.  Obviously not something that should be on a chickens regular diet but once a year is not going to hurt them ;)  As I said, my gals get one each Christmas and love them .. as you can see in the picture above, Dusty is running away with hers to make sure no-one else gets it lol.  They are soft so easy for the chickens to break up.

Thanks for the picture, we have the same (or similar) thing over here, just goes by a different name. Good idea for a special treat!

Mine didn't, but I supervised and took them away when they were finished
