Lights?

Lights or no lights in their house? 2 pekins, Southeastern NC climate (it's 32° tonight & suppose to be 70° on Sunday)-- yes? No? Maybe?

No. They have a nice warm down jacket on under those feathers. 

 Western N.C ~ 19 chickens= EE's, Game, variety of bantams,1Light Brahma, 2 Black Australorps . 5 Muscovy ducks, 6 Indian Runners and 2 Buff Orpington Ducks, 1 Embden gander,1 Toulouse goose , 3 mini Dachshunds, 2 mixed breed, pond goldfish,  and a wonderful Husband who makes it all possible..

 Western N.C ~ 19 chickens= EE's, Game, variety of bantams,1Light Brahma, 2 Black Australorps . 5 Muscovy ducks, 6 Indian Runners and 2 Buff Orpington Ducks, 1 Embden gander,1 Toulouse goose , 3 mini Dachshunds, 2 mixed breed, pond goldfish,  and a wonderful Husband who makes it all possible..

It was a feels like temp of 14 last night for us. My ducks are spoiled and I brought them into the garage. Haha!

You want them to have a nice cozy place to be able to get out of the wind and weather but if you use lights/  heat they have a harder time acclimating to the outside temps.  Bringing them inside your garage isn't going to hurt them unless you have heat in it.  But spoiling them is part of the fun of having ducks right?  :)

Absolutely. (Hot baths and warm salads in winter wink.png )
The garage is not heated but much warmer. We avoided bringing them inside for that reason.

And they are so pretty too.
