1) Cockerels or pullets? 2) Is the brown one an Easter Egger?

My two chicks are now 8 or 9 weeks old. The mother (also in one of the pictures) is a Baladi type mixed breed, father(s) unknown. Can anyone tell me if either of the chicks is a cockerel? Could the brown one have some Easter Egger blood? It's growing a kind of beard. Sorry for the picture quality - the chicks aren't tame and hard to "catch". The black one is splattered with mud.

They both look like roosters to me with that much pink at 8 weeks. I would guess EE in the mix as well.

"Baladi" is an Arabic word and it means "from the village". In Israel (where I live) and the surrounding Arab countries this word is used for a type of chicken that was traditionally kept in the region. It is not a standardized or recognized breed and in modern times it has been mixed with European and American breeds. But still a certain type got preserved: they are medium sized dual purpose birds, lay about 4 white or light colored eggs a week, some of them go broody, rather good flyers, most frequent colors are buff with a darker pattern on top, black with some golden neck feathers or gray incompletely barred. The traditional comb seems to be pea comb and legs slate gray, but as it is not a standardized breed, there are also a lot of single combs and yellowish legs among them.
