Chickens will not sleep in coop at night

I'm having the same issue. They are now 6 months and just a few weeks ago they started to roost on top of their coop in their run. I've gone out at night to put them up but can't do this EVERY night. Here is a photo....normal?

Welcome to BYC.

That coop is tiny and appears to have no ventilation...can't tell how many birds are there.
So, yes, 'normal' for them to want a more comfortable(not crowded with fresher air to breathe) place to sleep.
