Rooster Comb bleeding from frost bite I think???

My rooster has a black frostbitten comb too. I'm in south Louisiana so I didn't think I had to worry about this. The tips were black after a 27 degree night we had a few weeks ago, but the last 2 nights have been cold again and it's spread down to most of his comb. He's too mean to let me do anything about it. He attacks us to protect his girls. We are going to cull him after we hatch another batch of chicks (he is a daddy to 5 who hatched yesterday and today), but I hope he isn't in a lot of pain from the frostbite before that. My 4 hens have no sign of frostbite on their combs.

I need help ASAP! My rooster Blue Copper Marans has a large comb and this morning her was bleeding from frostbite! Help! Anyone heard of using Desitin? I have Coconut oil but worry how to apply it!

Can you post a picture? Frostbitten combs are very painful, and can bleed easily if hit on feeders or pecked by othe chickens. Coconut oil can be dabbed on gently, but , Neosporin ointment, Vetericyn wound spray, or BluKote can also be used. Here is some good reading:
