How old are your pullets?Problem: my pullets are roosting in the nesting boxes and pooping. We couldn't take the boxes away bcuz the older hens are laying eggs.
They are about 2 weeks old. And they are too young to sex via photographs. Try posting again once they are mostly feathered.
Are the roosts higher than the nest boxes? Is it possible to attach curtains to the nest boxes and close those curtains at night?
Their age is the reason they aren't roosting yet. Make sure that there is at least one foot of distance between each roost. You may want to stick a large, bedding filled, cardboard box on the floor in one of the corners of the coop, away from the nesting boxes and roosts for the chicks to sleep in. Young birds that haven't learned to roost yet prefer a cosy, ground level place to sleep. The roosts are a sort of stairs of sticks that go up like a ladder. They start at 5 inches from ground lvl and go up higher than the 3 stories of nest boxes. The pullets are 2months old or so. 3/6 main nest sleepers are roosters. I think the curtain is a good idea. Might try it. I will leave the bottom 6 boxes open for late night layers. My hens are 11 months old. Some of the pullets are the random save a chick clean out from the hatchery, some are hatched from my chickens. (light Brahma/jg roo, Easter egger/jg roo, wl/JG roo one is light Brahma/ wl roo)
