They along with 14 others i have are part of an assortment from when the hatchery cleans out the chicks not sold.

First chick may be a Barred Rock or black sex-link male. Second chick may be a Partridge Rock or Welsummer.

----

Edit: didn't notice at first that the first chick had white legs. It isn't a Barred Rock; probably a Marans.

Breeder of Dutch bantams, Wyandotte bantams, and a few exhibition rabbits.

Feel free to ask me questions about chicken and rabbit care, breeds, and showing! I'm always happy to help!

Nature's first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay. --Robert Frost

First chick has pink legs, not a Barred Rock. Probably a Cuckoo Marans, definitely a cockerel. Second one could be Welsummer, Partridge Rock, or Barnevelder.

I have a bunch of the black/gray. I hope it is a rock of some sort

What hatchery?

The first bird is not a Rock at all. They have yellow skin, this bird has white. Looks like a cuckoo Marans or a mix thereof, and a cockerel for sure.

Second bird could be a couple different breeds, several look similar at this age. Posting again when fully feathered will let us know better.
