Well you may run into fighting issues if you get another male, and babies if you get a female. So are you willing to spay a female to be a companion?
mm.. well wouldn't it be best to spray the male its not as hard for the body as it it for a female
my boy is 5 month its the best time to neuter ive been told
Yes, and it's cheaper too I think. Brain wasn't functioning when I wrote that
- David Bowie is my co-pilot
That is about right for a rabbit neuter they are very limited on the type of anesthesia that they use (isoflorane). I would be weary of vets that charge less due to lack of knowledge on rabbits. We heard and saw horror stories from other clinics that used cheap drugs to neuter not knowing it would kill the rabbit. Just do research and make sure they are reputable not just cheap.
Just saw this post. I have 9 rabbits. 2 netherland dwarfs m & f, 3 holland lops, 2 m & a female, 4 lionheads. 3 F anda male.
I have one of the lionheads? who has no mane around her face and ears. She's brown & white not quite the coloring of a dutch, but I was told she's a lionhead.
Does it have Blue eyes?
if so its a vienna carrier, meaning it carrys the vienna gene that creates a colored and white rabbit with blue eyes. and will give you the dutch type markings.
now for the no mane on ears and chest, some losr their manes after they molt and never get it back, some do get the mane and skirt back .
Single mane lion heads have the tendency to lose the mane and skirt and not get it back, double mane will most times get the mane and skirt back and teddy bear( triple mane and rather hard to handle wool) hardly ever lose the mane and skirt.
post up a picture and lets see the little darlin.
