I have know for a long time that chickens hate being held upside down but recently i had a friend over and they said chickens love being held upside down and picked up one of mine and they did seem to enjoy it especially if you rubbed their stomachs but some of my others hated it so is it just the bird or do certain breeds like it? (the ones that liked it where pekin bantams and japanese bantams and the ones that hated it were isa browns)

I have no idea - I generally assumed it was something chickens did not like and was potentially dangerous to them.  I read a few posts regarding the subject.  Here's what the search I typed in yielded if you'd like to review them for yourself:  http://www.backyardchickens.com/newsearch?search=chickens+upside+down

Best wishes.
