Wry neck not improving

No, I don't think so. She was doing pretty well last night, so I was getting hopeful. Now this morning can't hardly balance herself, running into everything, can only go backwards.

There are certainly aspects of that which could indicate Marek's but she is a long way off needing to be euthanized I would say. You will need to watch out for the others suddenly setting upon her as that can happen, so placing her in a pen of her own next to them where she cannot be harassed if they turn on her, would be ideal.

Yes, she was doing great last night when i recorded that. Now today she can hardly balance. I'll keep treating her and maybe in a few days she'll improve. Thanks for your help!

I started her on vitamin b1 5 days ago and continuing electrolytes. I have to feed her eggs by hand and fluids with a syringe. She hasn't eaten or drank on her own in days.

Anyone else have wry neck experience they can share?
I too have a new chick with wry neck. I feel your pain. I started feeding her a very mushy chick crumble that I mixed with nutra drench for poultry. I had to gently place her beak into the mush. Every day I make the food a bit less mushy. She will be 2 weeks on Monday. She is very slowly getting better. I also have been giving her a pea size drop of selenium with vitamin e gel 2 x a day. That was scary because I had to open her mouth to place the gel into it. I tried removing her from the flock but she screamed for 5 hrs. So..she stays with them. The other chicks have not tried to hurt her. I offer her food every time she starts to peep loudly. I keep a small cup with the vitamine water and a cup with regular water. I dip her beak into the water to help her drink. 2x a day of vitamin e water..the rest of the day plain water. Please keep me informed and good luck.
