Artemis' head was thrown back against the hard surface of a brick wall with each blow of Mythe's fist. Even after the punches ended the warm sensation of blood was felt rushing down her face. She was desperate to be released from his suffocating hold. Unintentionally Mythe gave Artemis the opportunity to think of a way to escape his hold; although the lack of oxygen reaching her brain kept her thinking quite so clearly. Raising both her legs, she kicked Myth square in the stomach in a powerful way that was sure to momentarily leave him unable to breath, giving her a few seconds when his strength would decline exceptionally. Realizing when that moment was, Artemis used her previously inferior strength to overpower him, and be released of his grasp. She collapsed on the ground gasping as air began to gather in her lungs, fighting the urge stubbornly of falling unconscious with the will to survive; not yet having her body sucume to the unconscious' temptations.
(Well, too bad, because I'm going to bed and writing this later. XD)

Mythe was taken aback when he was kicked, due to the fact that he was very convinced he had already won. He gasped for air for a few moments since the wind had been knocked out of him, but once he had recovered, he turned back to Artemis, determined to not allow her to escape.
He cursed at her, and walked a few feet away, grabbing the bat that Artemis had previously attempted to grab. He walked back over to her and raised it threateningly over his head, making it quite obvious what his next action would be.

Vanessa wouldn't be pleased that he had left, but she would be even less pleased if he took her car; thus the need to get his motorcycle.

The distance from the ship to their apartment was a short drive and not much longer of a walk. Jaxson arrived, got his keys then headed for his new favorite coffee shop.
--------
Amy heard the door ring and eagerly went out, hoping it was Artemis, who had been gone for a while now. It wasn't, to her dismay, but she quickly covered her disappointment and went to take care of the customer.

( :p )
Artemis choked a few moments until her breathing fully regained. She raised herself to her knees, holding her head up despite the sharp pain that warned her to lay back down. But she would not surrender, not when that was what Mythe expected her to do. She was stronger than he could ever imagine. Her vision blurred when she lifted her eyes as the feeling of Mythe'a presence returned, though, not enough for the item in his hand to not be recognizable. "Nothing you can do can change the fact that's she dead." She weakly stated, hoping somehow to dissolve his anger with reason. "Hurting me won't help, it only makes you as bad as the person you're angry with."

"How many people do you believe are on this plane? Because I'm worried that they could possibly figure out our plan soon." Charlie whispered to Trixie, now becoming nervous that his plan may be faulty. He knew having hope was a pretty big part of having things work, but as they waited for another guard to approach, his anxiety increased.

(Sorry for this taking so long, @QuackSpeak

Trixie bit her lip. "I'm not sure how many people are on this thing," Trixie said carefully, seeing the hole in his plan and deciding it was a big one. But what else could they have done? No, this as definitely the best way to go... They just had to be careful of the variables in the equation, the ripples in the water.
Trixie sighed. She had never been very good at being careful...

Mythe lowered his bat, but only a small bit as he listened to Artemis.

"I do not care." He stated, "I kill many people. You're just another one in the list. Killing is a part of my job, and a part of my life. I do not care if I'm considered as bad as my enemies to you. Perhaps that is hypocritical, but we are all hypocritical in one way or another, aren't we?" He growled, not keeping his attention off of the fact that he had to make sure she didn't get away.

Artemis glanced behind Mythe, mentally reasoning which direction would be the easiest to run down. She didn't know how she would outrun Mythe, but as her gazed returned to the weapon, still slightly raised to cause her harm, and the fear and pain overcame her so much in that moment she was no longer able to think rationally. "I don't know," she said slowly, slowly rising to her feet, hoping Mythe didn't know what she was thinking, as she awaited the moment to bolt. "It's depends on your perspective."

The bell overhead rang slightly as Jaxson entered the coffeeshop. Amy looked up from the table she was wiping down and a thin smile made its way onto her face as she saw who had come in. "Be right with you," she called to him as she finished up the table. She tossed the rag over her shoulder and wiped her hands on her apron, more of nervous habit than anything. "What brings you here so early?" She asked, going over to where he stood now near the counter.
Jaxson looked around the room, searching. She wasn't here. He chided himself on the disappointment that was growing and turned his attention to Amy, who had said something but he wasn't quite sure what. "Two coffees and uh," he glanced down at the clear cake dish of muffins, "and two muffin, please," he said, smiling now.
That didn't exactly answer her question, but Amy let it go and went to retrieve a paper bag from beneath the counter. After handing him the bag, she repeated her question but to no avail. He clearly wasn't focused on her or the coffee which she now handed him. "Artemis," Amy said simply. That got his attention. "She went out for a walk. "

(Kind of in a mental conflict here. You said you wanted me to leave Artemis unconcious in this alley, but now you're acting like she's supposed to escape. I don't want to power play, so can I be assured that you're sticking to the plan? XD)

As Artemis visibly rose to her feet, Mythe immediately wanted to knock her back down.
"I'm not here to talk about perspective with you, so shut up." He said threateningly and raised the bat completely once again, then attempting to swing it down onto her head.

As Charlie heard mumbling of two people outside and concerned voices, he froze and waited behind the door.

"What the heck is Thomas doing?" A man asked grumpily. "He went to fish out Ed, and now he ain't back either."
"I feel on edge..." Another man replied. It sounded like these two may be the last ones, since besides their talking, everything was silent.
"This can't be right. Grab your gun, let's go check."

The sound of one of them picking up a gun was audible, and then two pairs of footsteps were approaching their cell.
'A gun and two men versus a handcuffed man and woman...This'll definitely work out.' Charlie thought to himself nervously and sarcastically. He waited with a jumpy feeling in his gut.

Trixie heard their rushed conversation, and listened, heart in mouth, as the heavy boots clomped towards their cell. She looked at Charlie desperately, one last time, until a ray of light from the door blinded her.
The two soldiers cursed, seeing the bodies of their unconscious comrades on the floor.
"Open-fire!" one yelled.
Trixie jumped, as everything broke loose.
Bullets ricocheted off the walls, very nearly missing Trixie. She flinched, dancing away from the spray of death.
The soldiers stopped, guns at the ready. "There's more where that came from," one growled.
Trixie did not doubt that.
