His breath was shallow as he crept closer to making himself visible from behind the door. As he was less than an inch away from revealing himself, he decided to charge towards the man who was holding the gun, with the hope that the shock would make him drop it. After that, he'd have to somehow fight them both off and make sure they didn't get the gun back...Somehow...

He seemed to be doing well under pressure, but knew it wouldn't be much longer before he broke. Even if he didn't, she had so much faith in the evidence she had gathered thus far that his confession wasn't necessary to prove the crimes that he had commited.

Max knew there was truth to what Jaxson said. So, on to the next point. "I thought as much. And it wouldn't matter if Artemis was, really, because she used your gun. Speaking of, where is that baby? I don't see you wearing it right now," he observed.

Jaxson kept a straight face as he replied carefully. "I've been off duty. Didn't see a need to carry it," he shrugged.

"Fair enough," Max agreed. "Anyway, as soon as we lose sight of Cell 13--we were watching you, ya know--I sent an armed group down immediately to investigate, and another group to reinforce exits. Two men were sent to check on the room Vanessa was at a meeting in." He stopped to note Jaxson's suddenly interested look. "Yeah, you didn't know that stuff, did you. You were out cold at this point," he chuckled.
