The term emu houses a broad spectrum of sounds, depending on how you say it. As the title suggests, what's the correct enunciation? I'm getting confused!

EE-moo?
EE-mew?
EM-you?

The second syllable, does the y sound say its name or is it silent? Like, ee-moo (without the /y/)? Or, ee-mew (including the /y/)?

The first syllable, is it EE (as in Eeyore) or EH (as in gem)?

Thanks in advance!
