Was walking my daughter to school and noticed a cool thing. Now is the time that everyone puts their Christmas trees out for recycling. Some very small trees still have the plastic bases attached from when they were bought. They make great small feeders/waterers for the chickens. One arm even has a hole in it to pin or stake it down to completely make it tip proof. I'm sure they can be gotten from nurseries or garden centers too. Just wanted to pass it along.

I couldn't get the link to work but anything that can be safely recycled for the chickens, I'm in favor of.

Sounds like you made a good find!

Also, thanks for joining us

Don't have pic on my phone but we took an old porch swing apart. The frame is covered with a tarp for now and we put a 2x4 across the long way for a perch. Going to change the tarp to shade cloth.

Using the seat part out in the yard covered with shade cloth for a hideout.

Great thread idea!
