Sitting here tonight and realized how relaxed I am.

As some might remember I was working at a grocery store. Well after a nasty episode in which my heart rate went over 150 beats per minutes. Had 2 write up from the owners about co-workers quitting because of me. I had enough. Put in my 2 weeks notice, finished it out and left.
That was back in April.

Spent 2 months at our local ambulance barn helping getting things done there.
Now I am working at the local hardware store. The 2 owners are awesome!
Have not had trouble with my heart. My new co-workers are different but I know I can always ask them for help or to answer a question I do not have an answer to.

Did have a crazy thing happen about 2 months ago. Had a guy come in that I knew as a shoplifter. Now I am watching him and see him pocket a box of ammo. As he is slipping out the back door I am after him. Boy that guy can move!
Didn't catch him, but did tell the owners. He is now banned from the store; got fined $500 and is on probation for 6 months. He also confessed to stealing the ammo and more.
It surprised everyone there! No one else knew he pocketed stuff. Warned them about a couple more I know are also shoplifters.

I have to say my best one was with a customer I have known for years. He came in and asked me what I know about nails. Looked him straight in the eye and told him they were made of metal sharp on the end and you drove them into things to hold them together.
He looked at me and told me I was a smart alec, but it was a good answer. Got one of my co-workers to answer his questions on penny weight.

That's awesome that you've found somewhere you like! I remember back when you were having so many issues at the other place. I'm always of the mindset that life is too short to work a job you hate! Thanks for the updates!

So nice watching my ducks, turkeys and chickens run around.

Making plans to move their house to another spot where it will be sitting on concrete and building a whole new area for them.
Need to seperate my drakes from my hens once they start sitting.

DD asked me what type of birds do I want for my birthday! Now how sweet is that! She wants more ducks and I want laying hens.

Nice part of the new job you can switch a shift so easily. Co-worker needs Thursday off so we swapped. I am glad he said something yesterday because I thought it was next Saturday!
No more filling out paper work a month or more ahead to get days off, just have to write it on the calendar.
And no more eye rolling or rude noises when the pager goes off for an ambulance call.

Awesome your DD wants to give you more birds for your birthday!
