I recently pick this cage up with some other poultry supply's the other day but can't figure out what bird/ animal it would have been used for? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
The dimensions of the cage are 6'x1'x3' it also has small opening in the back with a door to a long shot in the back. It also has three v shape whole a crossed the front and a long rectangle that runs the whole length that the small door in the back open into?

I think not. Look again. That is some type of homemade cage apparatus. Perhaps a trap of some type, but not of the Hav-a-hart type.

OP, another shot from a bit wider angle please.

Any moving parts that you can see?

could this be a fish trap? Or mink cages? Battery cages for laying hens and they reach heads out thu the hole to eat?

To my eye, the last three pictures don't look like it is of the same thing as the first two. It went from a square to a rectangle and some of the internal hardware shown in the first picture is no longer there. Last bunch do look like some type of holding cage. I have seen something similar that were being used for holding pigeons, but game birds would fit too. Some folks training bird dogs might use them to raise or keep live birds.

The pics added later help to give a clearer idea of what they look like. The first pic made me think there was much more internal "stuff". They definitely look more cage-like and less trap-like than I first thought.

How big are the holes? Is there a way to open the individual compartments? It reminds me a bit of the cages they use to transport cavies to shows. Those usually have solid pan bottoms though.
