ill call duck

I have a call duck which seems to be under the weather. He is one of a few that are at the moment locked away due to the threat of avian flu. None of them seem too happy, but yesterday, one looked more fed up than the others.I knew something was wrong when i went into the pen and he didn't move. He seems to be loosing his balance and walking funny, also does not seem too keen on sitting down. Iv'e separated him from the others so that he doesn't get bullied or injured more, plus hes warm and dry. There are no cuts or damage to his feet or wings, however one side of his breast is more prominent than the other side. He keeps twitching/shaking his tail which made me think of ticks and mites, but nothing to be seen. the pen is rinsed down every day and their pool (kids pool) is changed and rinsed every day too. They are being fed layers pellets, corn plus extra veg for boredom (broccoli, corn on the cob, spouts, lettuce and fruit to chase). I've checked the feed to ensure its not damp or contains any mold, plus we have just had an inspection with samples taken with no problems found.
As I say, I've put him away from the others, warm and dry with plenty to eat and drink, but I'm still unsure, and the vet isn't too keen on seeing him at the moment as he doesn't really want poultry in his surgery with the threat of avian flu. He will come out but we have to wait for a visit time to become available.
I have it in my head that it is something or nothing, either Niacin deficiencies (so vitamin supplements) or Botulism,which is fatal if i have read right, but as i say they haven't been around any stagnant/stale water.
Any help and advice will be much appreciated!

Have you felt his crop?

I did and it just feels as it normally does. Is there anything in particular that I should be feeling for? Lumps and bumps or really squishy? Sorry, I'm trying to teach myself these things, so need a few pointers. Thank you

If it feel normal then that shouldn't be the problem. Could you post a picture of him for reference please?

I will do first thing. He's at my place of work, locked away on his own, plenty water and some feed, warm and dry, plenty bedding, for when/if he sits down, but I'll get photos first thing.

@pickled1 Have you noticed any change in his poop? is he pooping? just wondering about a blockage since you say he doesn't want to lay down if maybe his tummy hurts.
Getting a vet to come out might be a good idea. Does he have grit available?

He is pooping, and as normal, grit has been there but not sure if he's eaten it whilst with the others, I'll make sure I mix some with feed tomorrow morning. Thanks

Here's the call duck that hasn't been feeling to clever. He does seem a lot better this morning, plus hes sitting down now. His breast seems to of gone down, so I'm thinking it was what you said slkyldy4eva. Maybe his crop was full and not sitting well with him maybe?? He has drank plenty water, but not eaten so much. I'm going to keep him in today again, just to put my mind at ease, plus i can watch his intake of food and water. I don't want to keep him away from the others too long as they know hes missing and are calling for him, and hes calling back poor lad.

@pickled1 He's a beautiful lil call. I am glad he is better today.I wouldn't add grit to the food just place it close by so he can use as needed you don't want him getting too much either. Hope he is feeling good enough tomorrow to go out with his flock.
