Title says it all. I ended up with 1 red cuckoo hen and no Roos and paid a lot for a few eggs, so just trying to still use her to get something back from her!

I do have a molted Orpington Roo too but only one so I could not tell my molted Orpington eggs from my red cuckoo eggs, so would rather not cross those as then I can't be honest what is what with my customers!

Whereas I have two chocolate Roos. So then can keep my eggs separate from the pure lined chocolate chicks!

This is a double sex linked cross, the females chicks will be solid chocolate(with some cream underbelly) and the males will be black with a cream dot on the head(sigh of sex linked barring), the males will develop to be mostly black barred but with the breast displaying some yellow barring, the females will be mostly chocolate with some gold on the breast(like black sex links hens but chocolate instead)

Is there a photo sample you can link me to as what the chocolate over red cuckoo will look like!

I definately think I am putting my chocolate Roo over my red cuckoo hens and my Lavendar hens and Lavendar cuckoo hens. Just need to streamline and get rid of my Roos in those colors., And just let customers know they are chocolate color chicks but carrying the other jeans so will not breed true. Thus eye candy chickens for egg production only.

Is there anything I could breed those chicks white or each other that would be consistent after, if I were to keep chicks back.

Sorry another question above this post, thought I better quote so you would know. Getting use to how to post still on this forums.

You will see mention my lavender and lavender cuckoo hens which another poster answered I. One of my other threads earlier!

Hoping someone can answer otherwise I am going to put hem in the mixed pen!

Also when you put the chocolate over does it put better feather genetics into lavenders since lavenders can split feathers!
